Finding Concert Tickets Before They Sell Out

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Of course the best way to buy concert tickets is during the first public on sale date, through a pre-sale or as part of a fan or premium ticket club, another is to trade with other ticket holders who may want to exchange for other shows.

Although these programs have generally been set up as a way to control scalping, it has yet to show promise with regards to success of same. For, one can still go to any concert venue and most likely find individuals scalping or at least selling tickets at face value, if not for trade for another commodity out front. Therefore, just because a concert is sold out, does not mean that one can not still obtain a ticket. The question is, what is the best method to go about doing same?

While scalping is a problem, there are some ticket agencies that are better than others. These are generally the ones which guarantee the tickets purchases to be legal and valid or one can call from the venue with relation to the problem and at the very least, can often obtain a refund. Still, if one can at all, it is best to buy premium tickets through a fan pre-sale or ticket club rather than through such an agency, as often these tickets sell for far above face value due to their “premium, ” nature.

However, if one is using a ticket from such an agency, one need always have the information ready in case one needs to call the agency from the concert venue in relation to a problem. Otherwise, if one can not report the problem, there is no proof later at the problem occurred and then, well one can see how easy it could be for anyone to report same after a concert. Therefore, definitely carry all this information with you to the concert, just in case there is ever a problem, for even some who have used the same services for years have ran into problems which never had before.

Today, one of the most popular ways to buy and sell concert, sports and other tickets are through ticketing exchange programs and ticketing venues. This is because generally these outlets offer a ticket exchange club today that has not existed in the past. Through this ticket exchange service, a buyer can choose to buy, sell or trade tickets with another customer. Although, this could be perceived as scalping, most do try to keep their ticket prices as close to face value as possible when going through such a service.

There are other ways to obtain hard to get tickets as well, these including winning radio contests, participating in a benefit auction and going through a ticketing agency. Generally, when large concerts are playing an area, there are a variety of radio contests at the various radio stations in the area. Also, when there are benefit events, often one chooses to donate concert tickets and other memorabilia as a way to raise funds. Of course, last but not least, is going through to a ticketing agency which guarantees their tickets to be valid.

Auctions have become a big deal in the rock world of late. Where, many musical icons have been donating concert tickets, signed compact discs and posters in order to raise funds for a good cause. While this is a great way to try and obtain such tickets, often one may end up paying more than one may otherwise have to, even going through a local ticket reseller.

Of course, while buying tickets through an auction or winning tickets through a radio contest may sound realistic, the truth is that winning is rare. Therefore, if all else fails, then one may need to go through a ticket agency. If doing so, be prepared to find out all you can about the agency and the people running same. For, one only wants to buy through ticket agencies which guarantee their tickets to be valid upon entry to a show.

Also, while concert tickets are sometimes hard to come by, one also has the option of looking for the next closest venue if the local venue is sold out. For, individuals who can travel, often find a great deal of gratitude in an area which still has seats available if close enough to drive to and at times are even willing to stay overnight. Thus, creating an unexpected get away, contributions to the local economy and a night full of fun at a show one might otherwise miss.

Therefore, with enough money, one can generally find premium and sold out concert tickets. The question is what is the best way to go about doing same. Often, it is to plan ahead and buy tickets at the first date of the public on sale date or through a fan or pre-sale club. Regardless, one can generally find tickets even after a concert has sold out either outside the venue or through a local or online ticket agency. However, if going through such a ticket agency, one needs be sure the agency guarantees such tickets to be valid.

Do you want to shop safe? Well, we all want to save cash and shop for what we want. We got the way you can shop for concert tickets and save cash. You can get concert tickets that’s in your state or for your greatest bands.

Eddie Vedder – One Of The Greatest Heavy Metal Singers

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

Eddie Vedder, the lead vocalist of the rock band Pearl Jam, is one of the most entertaining singers ranking 23rd in the Hit Parader list of the 100 Greatest Heavy Metal vocalists of all time. He is a well known singer of the alternative rock genre. Eddie, born and brought up in the Chicago suburb of Evanston, Illinois, had an inclination towards music which began when he was presented a guitar by his mother during the 12th birthday.

The former Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer, Jack Irons, who was a friend of Vedder’s, sent him to join the new band “The Temple of the Dog” by giving him a demo tape of theirs. The band was in need of a singer.

The band soon released their first album “Temple of the Dog”, featuring Eddie who provided background vocals for the songs “Pushin Forward Back”, “Your Saviour”, “Four Walled World” and also did lead vocal for their popular song “Hunger Strike”.

Hunger Strike was the band’s first and only hit song. It was a duet between Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder. “Hunger Strike” reached the 4th position in US Mainstream rock tracks chart in 1992. The rock band “Pearl Jam” was formed in 1990 which recruited Eddie Vedder. Their first album “Ten” broke the band into the mainstream, and became one of the best selling alternative albums of the 1990s.

Vedder gained much popularity from the performances of the band and the pressure built up on him by the fans was just too much. So, the band decreased their promotional activities to lessen the pressure on Vedder. “Vitalogy” is the third album of Pearl Jam. Most of its songs seem to be on the pressure caused by fame, as was experienced by Eddie Vedder.

Vedder started to work on the soundtrack for the 2007 film “Into the Wild” which featured folk music in most of the tracks. It was a different venture for him from the hard rock and grunge music that he usually works with. “Guaranteed”, the final track in the film “Into the Wild” won several awards and nominations for Eddie, among them is the 2008 Golden Globe award and the 2008 World Soundtrack Award in the category of Best Original Song Written Directly for a Film. The film’s original score got nominated for the Golden globe too.

He received a 2009 Grammy nomination for Best rock vocal performance, Solo for the track “Rise” in the same film. The track “Guaranteed” this time earned him a Grammy award nomination for Best song written for a motion picture, Television or other visual media in 2008.

Eddie Vedder feels himself as among the crowd by looking at the eyes of the audience as he sings. His interaction with the crowd such as stage diving and crowd surfing has earned him a great fan following. He often dives off the stage on to the crowd below and passes from one hand to another.

Don’t miss the thrilling experience of an Eddie Vedder concert. Check for his live performances and grab hold of Eddie Vedder tix the moment they are available. His performances are sure to rock the floor, so get your Eddie Vedder tickets now.
